Samantha Parker, B.S.
Research Assistant
Mass General Hospital
Samantha recently graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Health Psychology, earning Honors Distinction. With aspirations to attend medical school, she is focused on integrating clinical research with direct patient care.
During her time as a co-op student at the Alzheimer’s Clinical and Translational Research Unit, Samantha conducted research on neurodegenerative diseases and biomarkers associated with cognitive decline in older adults. This experience fueled her interest in clinical research and deepened her understanding of health issues affecting aging populations.
In parallel, Samantha volunteers at an assisted living for memory care patients and works per diem as a Critical Care Technician, gaining firsthand experience in caring for aging populations and observing how social, medical, and lifestyle factors shape aging and overall wellness.
Outside of academics, Samantha enjoys running, cooking, and baking.
